Christmas in Shepherdstown story Hour

Historic Shepherdstown joined in the celebration of Christmas in Shepherdstown this year by hosting a story and ornament making hour and a visit with Santa.  Children and parents were treated to two Christmas stories in the Musuem sitting amongst the Victorian decorated tree and handcrafted sleigh with Saint Nick, elves and dolls.

Board member Ed Moore, outfitted in his nightshirt and cap read, Twas the Night berfore Christmas.  Board member Jack Young, dressed in peroid clothing read, A Cup of Christmas Tea.

After the stories were read the children and parents made a stop to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus (board member Ed Dunleavy and his wife Carol) then enjoyed cookies and cider while board members Kathy Maiden, Fran Phillips and Ann Wayt helped the children make a VIctorian Christmas ornanment to take home.
