Purpose: The purposes of the Historic Shepherdstown Commission are:
- To promote a greater and better Shepherdstown;
- To procure a wider recognition of the assets which make it such a desirable community in which to live;
- To preserve its heritage from more than two centuries, its ancient landmarks, and a record of the varied contributions of its outstanding men and women;
- To possess, by gift or purchase, properties of historic value.
AGENDA
- Approval of Minutes from September 16, 2009 Annual Membership Meeting.
- Treasurer’s Report – Financial review of year.
- Presentation of the Preservation Award to Dan Tokar for the restoration of the College Street Log Cabin.
- President’s Remarks.
- Nominations of Board Members – Carl Moore (nominations from the floor allowed, nominee must be a member of Historic Shepherdstown).
- Rick Horowicz

- Election of Board Members.
- Speaker –Claudia Paycheff & Heidi Carbaugh.
Claudia & Heidi will share their experiences of this summer’s “Living History Tours” of Shepherdstown portraying
Mary Schroeder & Mary Bedinger. These tours were sponsored in part by Historic Shepherdstown & Museum.
